My name is Danea Fidler and I’m an illustrator who specializes in animals, creature design, and anatomy. My work generally takes a focus in TTRPGs, games, books, scientific illustration, and film. I draw upon the natural world around me and the imagination to design and create believable fanciful creatures and surreal domains.
I have a BFA in Illustration from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, and a Certificate in Creature Anatomy with Terryl Whitlatch from Schoolism. My art varies in both traditional and digital media from sketches to full paintings. I have about 9 years of professional illustration experience as well as participating in numerous conventions around the country and teaching both creature design, animal anatomy, and wildlife painting workshops.

Current Land Acknowledgement:
I acknowledge with respect, that the land in the Colorado Rocky Mountains that my studio resides on is the traditional and ancestral land of the of the Arapaho, Cheyenne, and Ute nations and peoples with use of 48 other Native tribes. I recognize that Indigenous peoples are the original stewards of this land, water, plants, and relatives within. I acknowledge the painful history and ill treatment of Native peoples on this land and how much of a negative impact this history has caused. I honor and thank the Indigenous ancestors of this land.
